Hello Gator Families!
This is the final Gator Bytes for 2022! I hope these emails have been helpful in communicating everything we had going on this season.
State Meet: We had a great State Championship Meet this past weekend. Our Gators took 3rd place out of 47 teams! We took 29 swimmers this year and had huge accomplishments from all of them. We saw several time drops and great competition from everyone. We had several swimmers get first place, becoming State Champs!
Our 2022 State Champions are:
Reagan Horn, Ashlyn Campbell, Ella Suzao, Jordyn Benedict: Medley Relay
Drew Aparicio: 50, 100, 200 free
Huxley Hatch: 200 free
Ethan Hellman: 100 free
Reagan Horn: 50, 100 free, 100 back
Makai Lord: 400 free
Ella Suazo: 200 IM
We also want to congratulation Platte Canyon, Columbine Knolls, and Bear Creek. These teams from our League also placed in the top 3 in their respective divisions at the State Meet.
End of Season Banquet: Our end of season celebration will be held on August 21st at 5:00 pm at Grant (Ladybug) Park. We will give out awards, congratulate our graduating seniors, and celebrate our season! We will be sending out a sign up genius to bring food as it gets closer. Please RSVP on the website with a yes or a no by going to: Schedule/Sign-up and clicking on RSVP under End of Season Banquet. We hope to see you all there!
Junior Coaches: If you would still like to contribute to the junior coaches gifts there is still time! Please venmo Andy Hellman at @Andrew-hellman-2. Please put Gator junior coaches as the reason.
Ribbons and Lost and found: We will have ribbons and our lost and found items available at our banquet. Unclaimed ribbons will stay in your file until next year, but unclaimed lost and found items will be donated.
2023 Registration: Please tentatively mark your calendars for early March, 2023 for registration. Next year we are going to have a few changes to our registration process, due to the fact that we will not be able to get the pool time again from the HOA for such a large team to practice. We will be capping the team at 130 swimmers. We are also going to have a requirement that every person can independently swim a 25 before they register. This will apply to anyone new to our team and anyone who was not able to complete that at the end of this season. We will send out information on what that will look like as we get closer to registration.
Coaches Corner
Thank you and congratulations to ALL the Gators swimmers. Every team member contributed to our team’s success during the season, and at State, with their dedication to our team, hard work in practice and at meets, and support and encouragement of their teammates. We are so proud of each of you, your accomplishments this season, and most of all the character that you demonstrate on a daily basis.
