Gator Bytes 7/14/24

Hello Gator Families!

We have had an incredible season and it's hard to believe that we are already at the end of it! I am so thankful for all of our incredible families, coaches and athletes that made this season such a huge success. Practice is now done for all swimmers except those who have qualified for the State Meet. We hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!

We had two great League Championship meets this weekend! We want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all of our volunteers who helped make it run. We are so lucky to have a group of parents so dedicated to our kids and to our team!

As a team we placed third in the South Jeffco Swim League, with 2,205.5 points. We saw some great swimming and had many swimmers achieve State qualifying times and earn PRs. We have several Gators who are League Champions in individual events! We want to give an extra congratulations to Miller Hatch for earning the 9-10 Boys High Point Award! This means he earned the most individual points in his age group out of all seven team. This is a huge accomplishment!

It was great to watch our Gators encourage each other and be graceful competitors. They were good sports in their wins, and their losses, and we are so proud of all of them!

State Meet: We currently have 28 swimmers who have qualified for the State Meet! This year, the State Meet will be hosted by the Metro League. For full meet details, please see our website. Congratulations to our State Team! If your swimmer has qualified you should have received an email this morning. Please reach out if you have questions.New Records:

We also want to celebrate some records that were broken this season! Cash Williamson broke the Gators Team Record in the Boys 13-14 50 Free with a time of 26.31 and the 200 Free with a time of 2:16:91! Great job, Cash!

Cole Benson, Huxley Hatch, Ethan Hellman and Isaac Oltman broke the League Meet Record for the Boys 11-12 with a time of 2:11:60. Great job, boys!

End of Season Banquet: Our end of season celebration will be held on Sunday, August 18th at 8:00 am at our pool. We will give out awards and celebrate our season! We will have some fun swimmer vs parent relays and games, so please wear your suits and be ready to get in the water! We will send out more information as it gets closer.

Ribbons: We know how important ribbons can be for our swimmers so please feel free to come by the pool this week, Tuesday- Friday, between 8:00 and 9:00am to pick them up. We will also have them available at our banquet.

Coaches Corner: On behalf of our whole coaching staff I want to say how proud we are of each of you. You put in hard work this season, showed growth in countless way, and demonstrated excellent sportsmanship. Thank you to each family and the volunteer hours you gave. We know that it is a sacrifice that you make for your children and we greatly appreciate it. The Gators is a special team and we feel privileged to have the opportunity to work with each of our athletes and to be part of this community. Good luck to each of our State swimmers this week.
