Gators Bytes 6/29/25
Hello Gator Families!
I want to start by saying how impressed I was with every member of our team this past week at our Gator Open and KCI! At the Gator Open we were able to host our friends from Platte Canyon, which made it extra fun! Our swimmers earned PR's, and had lots of State qualifying times through the weekend! We also had a few KCI meet records broken!
Next Meet: Our next meet is at Grant Ranch on July 12.
Upcoming Events:
Swim Across America/Endurance Challenge: Our Endurance Challenge is this week on Tuesday, July 1st. You can still set up an account and send it out to friends and family, and bring change to practice for the coin jar! Fundraising is totally optional, but, it gives our kids another purpose for swimming and provides service to others, which is one of our team values.
After they swim, we have a team breakfast. The link for the Signup Genius to bring something to feed our hungry swimmers is here: https://m.signupgenius.
If your child participated last year, their total lap count is posted on our website under the Endurance Challenge tab. You can use this to set new goals for this year!
To learn more about SAA and our team’s participation in the fight against pediatric cancer you can go to the Gator’s SAA website. If you would like to fundraise, you have two options. You can either choose to make a donation to our team, or you can create your own page to send out to friends and family so they may donate under your swimmer’s name. To create your own page click the “Register” button and then “Join a Team” and type Governor’s Ranch Gators
Our schedule on July 1st will be:
7 - 8 am White group swim
8-9 am Green swim, upper division breakfast
9-9:30 am Purple swim
9-9:45 am green and purple breakfast
9:45-10:00 am clean up
Our team Movie Night is Wednesday, July 2nd at Grant (Ladybug) Park. We will meet at 7:30pm, please bring movie snacks and blankets or chairs. We will be watching Lyle, Lyle Crocodile as soon as it's dark enough. We will also have a fundraiser this night at Raising Canes! They will donate a percentage of the proceeds from 4-8pm to the team. Please get your dinner and then come watch the movie, make sure to mention the Gators when you check out! Bring any blankets, chairs and snacks that you want!
Our team day at Water World is next Tuesday, July 8th. There will not be practice this morning for our Green or Purple groups. The White group will practice at their normal time. You can purchase your tickets on the Gator website at a discounted rate any time. You can also purchase tickets through our website for any other day that you want to go!
We do not have a meet on Saturday, July 5th. We hope you all enjoy your holiday and get some rest! Please reach out if you have any questions!
